Thank you for helping us to bring the RPG to life! The Magitech Chronicles began as a best-selling fiction series, and now we're finally coming to tabletop RPGs. Below you can see the add-ons for the game. It's not to late to get in on the ground level! Join us, Outrider.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

We've been hard at work and have stuff to share!
about 4 years ago – Sat, Mar 14, 2020 at 02:02:30 PM

I know I've been quiet this week, but for good reason. We've been hard at work cranking out mechanics, and managing the art pipeline. There are lots of new demons and undead in the bestiary, and we've added the first cluster of Catalysts designed using the new rules.

First, I want to show off the new layout. This is what we'll see in the final version of the RPG, and notice that there are more icons, and a lot more color. There are just a few pages picked at random:

I've also added the beta version of the game to BookFunnel if you'd like to download that PDF, though it does require your email.

More starships are on the way next, as well as internal schematics for the Wyrm Hunter as it's looking likely we'll hit the $20,000 stretch goal. I'm pretty jazzed about that. You guys have been simply amazing, and I cannot even express how fired up I am right now =D

If you know anyone else who might be interested in the game feel free free to let them know about the PDF, even if they aren't in a position to back!

Holy crap we funded in the first few hours =O

We are shocked, humbled, and grateful for the amazing support so far. You guys are awesome! Per the requests we've added hardcover and hardcover special edition tiers. Both are printed by DriveThruRPG, and backers will be responsible for shipping.

It looks like we made need to brainstorm some more crazy stretch goals. We will keep you posted =D

200% funded! We've got some fun stretch goals. Necrotech, schematics, minis, and more.

Thank you so much to everyone who has backed the RPG so far! We're way ahead of where I thought we'd be, so yesterday I brainstormed some stretch goals I hope you'll love. These stretch goals are available to anyone who pledges at any level!

$15,000: We'll create a line of 5 Magitech Chronicles miniatures in STL format. You'll receive these files, and can print your own minis, or use them on a site like Hero Forge.

$20,000: All backers will receive a digital copy of the First Contact Saga. This introductory adventure is designed to bring new players into the system. Your planet has been isolated for millennia, and you're on the first ship leaving the system. It doesn't go well.

$25.000: All backers will receive the digital schematics and field dossier for the Wyrm Hunter, a Confederate battleship suitable for use in our setting, Traveler, Starfinder, or any other space faring setting.

$30.000: We'll create the PDF for the Necrotech supplement, and release it to all backers. Want to add necrohulk fleets to your campaign, and learn more about the Unspoken? How about Soulshackled Wyrms? Contains rules for creating necrotech, along with many examples, and the Sanctuary Catalyst

$40.000: We'll create the PDF for the Demotech supplement, and release it to all backers. Want to add tech demon shock troops to your campaign? How about the Skull of Xal Catalyst, which can grant your character void magic? Assuming you survive the trip, that is.

Are there more rewards you want to see? Let us know! In the meantime we'd appreciate it if you'd help spread the word. I'm going to dive back into the necrotech rules, but I'll have another update in a day or two =D

We've got our first printed test mini! Just in time, because we're only $1,500 from hitting our first stretch goal
about 4 years ago – Fri, Mar 13, 2020 at 08:52:15 PM

Thank you guys so much! We are tearing up this Kickstarter in a way I never dreamed possible. That means I've had to step it up on fulfillment of stretch goals, and I have some news about that.

First, here's a test pic of our very first mini. The picture below it is the cover of Dying World, the novel where the 3D model was originally used:

Note that a shoulder mount and base broke off. Compare it to the cover below.

I'm waaaay too excited about having minis that accurately reflect weapons and spellarmor in the setting. More pics to follow as Tom gets a better test, and then paints it into awesomeness.

For the other stretch goals a backer asked if there might be a physical version. I thought about that and realized it would be really expensive to meet fulfillment-wise...unless we just added the material directly to the main book. Both the schematics for the Wyrm Hunter, and the introductory First Contact saga will be added directly into the book.

That raises printing costs a bit, but both items will be useful to GMs, so why not? Let's do it!

-Chris

P.S. Here's our first draft of the latest novel cover. This is for Hatchling, the sequel to Dying World.

We're less than $100 from our first stretch goal, plus a look at the covers, and some more mini pics.

It's been a crazy week and we have lots to share. First, a backer asked if we'd get a look at the Hardcover Special Edition. Here are the covers for both the HSE, and the regular edition. The hardcover has a ship attacking a dragon (blue), whereas the regular version has the ship running away (orange). We're uh...rewarding your heroism, hardcover backers!

Note that the typography will be updated to reflect that it is a special edition. =)

and the regular edition:

We've also received the first ever painted Magitech Chronicles miniature. This is Jerek in his Heka Aten Spellarmor:

Anyway, thank you guys so much for everything you've done to help us succeed! If you know anyone who can contribute that last $100 now is a great time to sneakily send them one of the above images. If not...we still have 3 weeks to hit it! Hopefully we blow right past it and into the next goal, so we can add the First Contact saga directly into the main book.
